Sound is sound is sound... But hey! There's so many sounds! Sounds as in music. Mostly nice and tonal. And then there's those other sounds. Metallic ringing of a bell. The impact sound of things dropping. The hum of an engine. The puff of a steam engine.
There is so much sound everywhere. So many sounds that deserve attention. Sometimes it is by just amplifying that what escapes the ear. Sometimes by other electronic means.
Bottom line it's great fun to experiment with sound. And sometimes the result is even beautiful! And sometimes not :)
But you can't know before you've tried.
